About Us

Community leaders in California are changing their local environments to create safe, healthy, equitable communities. In face of rapidly growing rates of obesity, diabetes and other preventable illnesses, they are a strong voice for change that makes community health possible.
CA Convergence links communities in action to improve the environment for health, throughout the state of California.
Founded in 2007, California Convergence has grown into a powerful network that brings together California communities, community leaders, state policy advocates, public health departments, and other key stakeholders.
CA Convergence is guided by representatives from communities across the state, and connects over 600 change agents. They represent local initiatives, as well as programs developed by six major health funders to nurture healthy people in healthy places.
Partnership for the Public’s Health serves as the Coordinating Office for the CA Convergence network.
